The Union Ministry of MSME introduced a new online registration system called Udyam Registration on July 1, 2020. This process was launched to make MSME registration easier, faster, and available through a single online portal.
According to the government’s notification, all existing MSMEs that were registered under Entrepreneur Memorandum (EM–Part II) or Udyog Aadhar Memorandum (UAM) must re-register on the Udyam Registration portal starting from July 1, 2020.
If you already have an MSME or Udyog Aadhar certificate, it is now mandatory to re-register on the Udyam portal.
A one-person company (OPC) is a type of business structure in India where a single individual owns and manages the entire company. It allows a solo entrepreneur to run a company with the benefits of a private limited company, such as limited liability and a separate legal identity.
