Udyam Registration Form - Process to Fill the Form
Many applicants have already registered their MSME business in Udyam but some of you must be thinking how to register under Udyam. In this blog, we have provided you information on how to fill up the Udyam registration form.
Udyam Registration
Udyam Registration is the new process to register Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises introduced by the Government of India. Before the notification, it was known as Udyog Aadhaar Registration. The registration process has been initiated in order to facilitate ease of doing business and has been in action since 06th July, 2020.
After the registration process, the applicants are allotted with Udyam registration number or Udyam certificate through which they can avail of the benefits provided by the Ministry of MSME.
Note: The Government of India has also announced that those enterprises which have already registered their MSME business under Udyog Aadhaar will have to re-register/convert or update in Udyam before the last date 31/03/2021. If the enterprises fail to re-register their business their registration will be either canceled or blocked.

How to Fill the Form in Details ?
Applicant Name -
You will have to provide the name of the applicant in the Udyam registration form in whose name you want to register the MSME. The applicant's name you provide can be of different persons depending upon the type of entity they want to register
For Sole Proprietorship Firm: Name of the owner of the firm who wants to start their business
For Partnership Firm: Name of one of the designated partners whose name is same as in the Aadhaar card
For Private Limited Company (PVT): Name of any designated directors.
For Public Limited Company (PLC): Name of any designated directors name.
For Limited Liability Partnership: Name of any designated directors name.
For Cooperative Society, Trust, Society : Name of any designated director or partner can be provided.
*Note : For all the above conditions, the name of the applicant must be given in accordance with his or her Aadhaar Card.
You can not change or edit the name of the applicant after the registration process, so make sure to enter the name correctly.
Mobile Number -
In the field of Mobile number provide the number which is linked with your Aadhaar Card. You will receive the OTP in the same number during the Udyam Registration process.
Note: Make sure that the mobile number you provided is linked with the Aadhaar Card, if not he/she must apply for an Aadhaar card.
In the case of a Partnership firm or any other entity if the mobile number is not linked with Aadhaar card you could provide the name of the other partner or authorized directors whose Aadhaar card is linked with the mobile number.
You will have to share the OTP with one of our representatives for further process of Udyam registration
Email Id (Required) -
You have to fill in your correct email id in the email address field since your registration certificate will only be sent to this email. Make sure to save the email ID and password since you will be receiving the Udyam Certificate at the same registered ID.
Office Address, State, District & Pincode (Required) -
In this field you will have to provide the address where your office is located along with the State, district & pincode.
Note: Make sure to provide the State, District & Pin Code correctly as it cannot be changed or edited after the registration process.
Annual Turnover -
The details of sales you have made during the year generally known as annual turnover have to be filled in the annual turnover sector. You have to enter the amount you invested in the plant and machinery under your company in the investment in the plant & machinery sector.
The turnover of an enterprise that does not have PAN shall be filed on a self-declaration basis for a period of up to 31st March 2020. After that GSTIN and PAN will be mandatory.
The Income Tax Act or the Central Goods and Services Act (CGST Act) and the GSTIN will be related to details such as turnover and tariff turnover for an undertaking.
Social Category -
In this section applicants will have to select a category in which they belongs whether it is General Caste / Scheduled caste (SC) / Scheduled Tribe (ST) / Other Backward Classes
Aadhaar Number (Required) -
Applicants are required to enter the Aadhaar number correctly as per his/her Aadhaar Card. It is a 12 digit aadhaar card number.
Note: The Aadhaar Number cannot be changed once it is entered after the registration process so make sure to enter the Aadhaar number correctly.
You need to provide the aadhaar number of the company's owner for sole proprietorship company and the aadhaar card number of any designated partner or director can be provided for partnership company, Pvt ltd company, public ltd company, and LLP.
If an applicant does not have an aadhaar card, then at the enrollment center he/she must apply for an aadhaar card. Once you obtain an Aadhaar number, you can apply for Udyam Registration successfully.
Previous UAM Number (Write NA if not available) -
For those enterprises which have already registered under MSME/Udyog Aadhaar, then you will have to provide the Udyog Aadhaar Memorandum(UAM) number to update your Udyog Aadhaar Certificate in Udyam.
If your MSME is not registered then enter NA in the form.
Note : It is mandatory for the entrepreneurs who have already registered under MSME/Udyog Aadhaar, to update their Udyog Aadhaar business in Udyam before 31st March, 2021.
PAN Card Number (Write NA if not available) -
The Applicant will have to provide their Permanent Account Number (PAN) in this particular field and if you do not have the PAN card number then you can simply write NA (Not Available).
Note: PAN card and GSTIN is mandatory, for any kind of enterprise registration such as pvt ltd company, public ltd company, llp, etc
The Government of India has made it mandatory for an enterprise to provide PAN number on or after 31st March, 2021.
As per the Government notification, no one can change the PAN number after the Udyam Registration, they can only do it if they fail under some special cases.
Any enterprise can only opt for single registration using a single Aadhaar Number.
Bank Accounts details & IFSC code -
In this section, applicants will need to provide Bank Account Details like Account Number, Bank name and IFSC Code.
Note: The bank details cannot be updated or edited in case if wrong detail is provided.
Business Name (Required ) -
The applicants need to enter the name of the Enterprise by the name they want to register.
Note: Make sure to enter the business name correctly as it cannot be rename/updated or changed. It can be only updated if the spelling is wrong or missing any word.
Date of Commencement of Business -
In this section, the applicants need to enter the date they have started the Business in the DD/MM/YYYY format.
